Day 1: Our New Little Boy

Here are the first photos of our new baby boy. We've named him Samuel Corbett Tregeagle, and we will call him Sam. He was born June 13 at 5:07 PM, weighs 7 lbs. 9 oz., and measures 20.5" in length. We love him very much, and are very excited to be his parents.


Here Sam is with his Mommy. He just melts in her arms. She did so well through the pregnancy and labor, we are so proud of her. Immediately following delivery he was rushed to the nursery for observation on his lungs. He was looked over by pediatricians who decided to send him to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) where he spent his first night being monitored. He had a hard time filling his lung sacks, he would hold on to the existing air in his lungs and not replace the old with new so he was doing what they call a "sing song sound" where he grunts and releases rhythmic hums.
