For all those Dutch Oven lovers. (especially the ones I promised this recipe to and never got it to you sorry)
Bacon Wrapped Chicken and Peach Dump Cake
6-8 chicken breasts
1 package corn king or thin sliced bacon
8-10 medium sized potatoes any variety sliced
2 cans of green beans
2 cans of corn, reserve one can with liquid
1 large white or yellow onion sliced thin
1 stick of butter
1 bottle of mesquite BBQ sauce
Salt, Pepper, Garlic Salt or Powder, Johnnies seasoning
1 large bag of charcoal brickets
#12 dutch oven
Combine veggies together with BBQ sauce, reserved corn liquid and seasonings, I just season to taste or just eyeball it. Heat your dutch oven on top of brickets, put stick of butter in bottom of oven and let sizzle, but not brown. Place bacon wrapped chicken on bottom of oven in an even layer. Brown on both sides with lid on and then remove. Add half veggie mixture to oven, place chicken back on veggies and layer the rest of the veggies on top. Place lid on and add 6-8 brickets on top of lid. Cook for additional 30 minutes.
Peach Dump Cake
5 cups. Peach Pie filling
2 cans of evaporated milk, you can use 1 can of sweet and condensed milk
1 stick of butter
2 boxes of yellow cake mix
Half can of sprite (it has to be sprite or it doesn't taste the same sorry)
#12 Dutch Oven
In your dutch oven, rub bottom and sides with half of butter. Pour fruit filling in bottom. In a bowl combine all other ingredients. Cut up the rest of the butter in tiny pieces and combine in mixture, but don't over mix, there should be some dry chunks here and there. Place on top of coals, place 6-8 brickets on top of oven and your dump cake should be ready to eat in about 35-40 minutes. Enjoy!
