Our New Year's Message

Here in the Tregeagle house we don't really set resolutions. Unless you call trying to eliminate bills, getting new carpet to cover cat barf, finally throwing out the Halloween pumpkin(that's now frozen on the porch), or organizing our toddlers messy room, resolutions. We just call them everyday tasks that should have been done weeks ago. What is in a procrastinator anyway? Calling it by any other name it would still smell as sweet...wait I think that was a rose Shakespeare was talking of. I guess we could technically call it anything you like. I think when we call it a resolution it automatically sets itself up for failure.
We can always work on being nice, more helpful and generous. We can focus on what truly matters like our health and freedoms/civic duties, hugging our children more (except if Sam could articulate his feelings, he would probably want them toned down.) We could exercise more, eat less blah blah blah or be nicer to our mother in laws. We could recycle more or maybe give a "way to go" to those that do. With a dash of hope and a sprinkle of change and a huge teaspoon of sugar (because it helps the liberal go down). No really! We could really make a difference. So Erin's resolution this year is to be supportive to the dashes' and sprinkles and not just wait around for a screw up, because heaven knows best, they'll come sooner than later and then we'll all realize how human we all really are. Is being human in these days anyway? Hope fully we have not all succumbed to Darwin’s delusions.
Jordan's idea of a resolution is to be upbeat without the caffeine and continue being the greatest father on earth (Barnum and Baileys changed their show title)
