The Red Butte Outdoor Concert Series schedule has been put up and we are excited. It's been about 2 years since we've been able to attend Lyle, but we wont be missing him this year. We're also going to enjoy Steve Martin and Joan Baez and Willie. We are loving our membership to Red Butte. We enjoyed a great picnic up there the other day. The sun was shining and animals were out and playful and there were so many kids for Sam to run and play with we couldn't believe it. Sam is learning about different flowers and their names and learning about taking care of a garden. There are a couple of classes I want to take too. If anyone is interested let us know about concert tickets or classes, we can purchase extra tickets if anyone is interested! Yay for discounts. We also have a Discovery Gateway membership too for all you moms with little ones who want to make an outing of it.
The magnolias were blooming like I've never seen before. They haven't bloomed for a couple of years, but what beautiful blooms they have this year. We followed a wisp of butterflies down the walkway and just admired the hard work that all goes in to this amazing garden. I'm amazed at what a big boy Sam has become and how gentle he is with the animals he sees. He loved feeding the Koi and listening to the bees pollinate the trees. We stood right under a huge tree that was swarming with honey bees. Scary, but awesome. The sound was deafening.

Enjoy your concert series. I always get a season pass at the scera shell with friends. just fun to be outside in the summer nights. love it.
